Where is the cheapest place to buy a fiesta remote key fob? Its for a 2004 Fiesta (Ford part ref: 2S6T 15K601 AB) I have been looking on ebay they cost about £30 uncut and unprogramed? Anybody seen cheaper?

I got mine from Ebay for about £30 and got it cut at Ford parts for a fiver - looked like a back hander Only other alternative is to get one from a scrap yard and get the key part from the ford parts desk at your dealer.

I'm sure my local Evans halshaw were doing spare remote fobs for £25 the last time I went, about 6 weeks ago I think. Maybe worth a try?

I went the other day (Evans Halshaw) and they quoted me £110 for just a normal key i.e. not a remote. Think it cost about £50 for the key and the rest for cutting/ programming it. Is this right?

Thats gotta be wrong, you can get a normal key cut for a tenner by any key cutter. Even Ford should not be more than £15 they didn't on my last one! The remote part is where the expense would come in as they can charge what they like really

I got quoted £130 from Allen Ford for a normal key cut and programmed. Service manager says you cant program the chip in the key yourself anymore.

If you have 2 keys that start the car you can programme the new key to the immobiliser yourself (process in handbook)
If you only have 1 key then it will need to be programmed on WDS at roughly an hours labour (depends on dealerships labour rate)
The remote key £65.38 inclusive of cutting, battery etc Manual key £21.84 inc
If you need the remote programmed to the C/L if your dealer is helpful enough they should be able to tell you of the process (quite simple to do)

This doesn't work on facelifts.
You have to configure the key/fob using WDS at the dealer.
